Sinopsis
El presente estudio surge de la necesidad de revisar la novela La tumba de José Agustín a través de acercamientos críticos que vayan más allá de la clasificación que se le ha dado como parte de la llamada generación de la Onda. Si bien José Agustín, en un momento dado, ha sido considerado icono de dicha generación, lo cierto es que sus obras necesitan lecturas críticas que superen dicha clasificación. Por su parte, el presente estudio ha intentado situarse precisamente en esa coyuntura crítica. Así, el presente volumen cumple con un triple propósito: por un lado, contiene un apartado dedicado a esclarecer la problemática que se ha suscitado en torno a la Onda como fenómeno contracultural y expresión literaria. Es también fuente importante de información bibliográfica acerca del escritor mexicano José Agustín. Y, finalmente, el autor de este estudio realiza análisis críticos de los aspectos de desmitificación, dimensiones del héroe agachado y de la existencia de la melancolía mexicana, contenidos en la obra prístina de José Agustín.
