A lo largo de las páginas de esta obra se realiza un recorrido para reflexionar sobre una nueva etapa en nuestras vidas, las diferentes opciones de ocio, los trabajos colaborativos, las formas de prevenir o minimizar el deterioro cognitivo o la pérdida de memoria. Se habla del bienestar físico y emocional, de las relaciones con la familia, de cómo potenciar la socialización, de cómo iniciar un proyecto o actividad que teníamos olvidada, de empresas que se centran en las personas mayores para facilitarles la vida. Y, principalmente, se insiste en la actitud ante la jubilación y en cómo potenciar una vida útil y con sentido. Esta época vital es una puerta abierta a:
