Sinopsis
La obra reúne un conjunto de artículos, algunos de ellos inéditos y otros publicados en distintos medios, en torno al problema de la investigación científica en educación y en ciencias sociales. La primera parte del libro agrupa ensayos de carácter filosófico relacionados con el lugar que en la actualidad ocupa la tradición hermenéutica para pensar la validez, el carácter y las implicaciones políticas de Ia investigación científica. La segunda parte se concentra en algunos aspectos claves del campo de la educación, como las prácticas pedagógicas y la formación docente, los cuales, al ser comprendidos desde la perspectiva hermenéutica, adquieren una importancia mayor para entender lo que está en juego en las aulas de clase. Finalmente, la tercera parte se dedica, desde la tradición hermenéutica, a reflexionar sobre algunos problemas clásicos de la investigación científica muy importantes para la práctica profesional de la investigación en ciencias sociales y en educación. Las tres partes de la obra, en conjunto, ofrecen un panorama sobre las aplicaciones contemporáneas de la hermenéutica al campo de la ciencia, de la educación y de la práctica investigativa.
