Un delito de odio se caracteriza por la selección de la víctima debido a que pertenece a un colectivo de personas especialmente vulnerables, donde la sinrazón de los autores es capaz de canalizarse en comportamientos abominables.
Los delitos de odio representan la manifestación más reproblable de la intolerancia y la discriminación, basada en la raza, el sexo, el lenguaje, la religión, la creencia, el origen nacional o social, la orientación sexual, la discapacidad o en otras materias similares.
Con esta obra se analiza, desde una perspectiva amplia y transversal, esta realidad social y jurídica con el fin de concienciar y prevenir la aparición de los comportamientos definidos como delitos de odio.
