Sinopsis
El creciente fenómeno migratorio de los países latinoamericanos hacia países desarrollados se ha ido traduciendo en un flujo creciente de remesas, situación en la que sobresale la implementación de políticas y programas encaminados a la generación de proyectos productivos con apoyos de microfinanciamiento a partir de estos recursos de los migrantes. Esta relación, remesas y microfinanciamiento, ha desplegado gran interés en los gobiernos e instituciones en América Latina y el Caribe; sin embargo, su caracterización para la Comunidad Andina sigue siendo una tarea incompleta y, en buena medida, una materia pendiente para las ciencias sociales en general. Atendiendo a lo anteior, este texto busca aportar en esa dirección al analizar dicha relación, sus características, problemáticas y las necesidades que encierra para un contexto como el de la CAN.
