Fenómenos como la desterritorialización, la migración, la globalización o la recomposición de los Estados nacionales han producido durante las últimas dos décadas profundas transformaciones en las formas de percepción y organización de las prácticas y las identidades colectivas de los sujetos sociales a escala mundial. Este libro busca analizar estas nuevas formas de emergencia social, describiendo desde la perspectiva de los sujetos sus estrategias y los puntos de inflexión entre los procesos locales y globales. Jóvenes, indígenas, campesinos o habitantes urbanos son focalizados como sujetos sociales que, bajo situaciones coyunturales, tienen que redefinir sus prácticas y producir diversas estrategias para resistir, adaptarse o (re)producirse socialmente.
