Durante más de medio siglo el territorio colombiano ha trasegado por
las sendas del conflicto armado. Su existencia se ha justificado en
diversas causas: en la desigualdad social constituida en el periodo
colonial, y no superada en la configuración de la República; en la ausencia
de una reforma agraria regida por el principio de redistribución equitativa; y
en los grandes movimientos económicos del capital que se han generado en
los últimos treinta años en el continente, los cuales han planteado un nuevo
sentido al uso de la tierra y se han volcado hacia la explotación masiva del
patrimonio natural, mineral, hídrico y hasta cultural. Este hecho ha generado una crisis en los sentidos que sobre el territorio tienen los pobladores,
como miedo, pérdida de identidad, desarraigo cultural y recrudecimiento
de otras formas de violencia.
