Sinopsis
Esta nueva obra multidisciplinaria busca dar continuidad al libro El criterio cultural para comprender regiones y su desarrollo: paisaje, identidad, patrimonio cultural y turismo en la región de La Ciénega de Chapala, Michoacán, el cual fue recientemente publicado en coedición por la UCEMICH y Bonilla Artigas Editores. Esta segunda recopilación de estudios toca nuevamente distintos tópicos que giran alrededor de la comprensión del desarrollo en la región de La Ciénega de Chapala, eje principal de esta colección. Para ello se proponen siete nuevos estudios, tanto teóricos como empíricos, que se ubican principalmente en la región de La Ciénega de Chapala pero se amplían al occidente mexicano, abarcando contextos y paisajes de Jalisco y Michoacán. En esta ocasión, se deja de lado el tema de la cultura como eje principal de la obra, aunque algunos de los estudios lo abordan como un foco adicional. Se repiten algunos temas desarrollados en la obra anterior a ésta, como los referentes al concepto de paisaje, patrimonio y el turismo en la región, pero en esta ocasión se integra el tema legislativo o del estado de Derecho respecto del tema migratorio y del paisaje, como conceptos expresados en la ley, y la importancia de este aspecto para incentivar el desarrollo.
