Sinopsis
En esta Guía se plantean una serie de recomendaciones sobre el tratamiento comunicativo correcto de la violencia de género. Para ello, las autoras comienzan preguntándose qué es la violencia de género (desde un prisma teórico, pero también jurídico y periodístico) y cuándo empieza a conocerse y reconocerse como un problema social y sobre todo mediático.
A partir de estas reflexiones se identifican y analizan las propuestas deontológicas existentes hasta la fecha en el estado español y en otros contextos hispanófonos para contribuir a la erradicación de este problema desde la comunicación mediática. Por último, las autoras realizan una propuesta compilada y actualizada de recomendaciones para el tratamiento correcto de este tipo de noticias y, con arreglo a éstas, se facilita una herramienta sencilla y eficaz para el autodiagnóstico de la calidad deontológica de las informaciones.
