Sinopsis
Le pido una disculpa, maestro Efraín Huerta, por contravenir lo que alguna vez dijo en aquella conferencia dedicada a su amigo Paz en 1965, intitulada La hora de Octavio Paz: Mala, muy mala señal cuando el aspirante a maestría y al doctorado en Letras escoge a un poeta: el poeta ya está muerto o es ya un poeta anticuado []. Es verdad, oh Gran Cocodrilo, lo elegí a usted para dedicarle un estudio doctoral, no pude evitar la tentación de hablar de su trabajo artístico y el tema del amor, porque esa línea temática en su poética es tan trascendente en la literatura mexicana que valió la pena dedicarle cuatro años de mi amor, y humildemente lo pongo al servicio de sus lectores, de quienes lo estudian, muy a su pesar poeta, para apoyar en la comprensión y en los porqués de los cambios y permanencias de ese amor tan suyo.
