La mayoría de las democracias han visto cómo se debilitaban sus mecanismos de autodefensa hasta perder parte de la propia percepción y el valor de lo que significa vivir en democracia. Como si no hubiéramos sido conscientes de que, bajo el espejismo tecnológico de progreso, éxito y sociabilidad, los sistemas democráticos están perdiendo la capacidad de creer en ellos mismos.

Este libro no es una crítica a los cimientos de nuestros sistemas democráticos, sino a aquellos actores que intentan explorar sus debilidades para su propio beneficio.
