Sinopsis
Durante los últimos diez años, Fernando Fernández ha renovado semanalmente el contenido de su blog, Siglo en la brisa. Este libro reúne 36 de las más de 500 entradas aparecidas en línea a lo largo de ese tiempo, desde mediados de 2009, fecha de su fundación, hasta noviembre de 2019, cuando cristalizó el proyecto de reunir en un libro impreso parte de lo que ha publicado en él.
El cuaderno en línea de Fernández ha sido una auténtica bitácora de cuanto ha experimentado y leído en la última década este poeta y editor, quien ha hecho de la variedad y el desplazamiento una manera de relacionarse con el mundo. Así, entre el tereto más vertiginoso de la poesía española y los objetos que viven en su mesa de trabajo. Viaje alrededor de mi escritorio reúne un cuaderno de muestras botánicas de diversos lugares, un soneto de Neruda y una rima de Béquer, una semblanza del perro de Alfonso Reyes y un recorte de diario que confunde a Carlos Fuentes con un animal prehistórico, un elogio al Periférico y el testimonio del último Juan Goytisolo, a quien el autor entrevistó en un café de Marrakech. El libro incluye una disquisición sobre la palabra "barragan", que sirve de apellido al máximo arquitecto mexicano, y una guía para reconocer las principales especies de árboles que viven en las calles de la Ciudad de México.
