Sinopsis
Este libro constituye una aproximación a un tema relativamente inexplorado: el comportamiento del votante de la Ciudad de México. El análisis responde a la necesidad de explicar un patrón de votación que indica cómo las preferencias a nivel agregado e individual de los votantes capitalinos determinaron el triunfo de Vicente Fox Quesada en la elección de Presidente de la República, y de Andrés Manuel López Obrador en la elección de Jefe de Gobierno de la Ciudad de México, el 2 de julio del año 2000; dos opciones programática e ideológicamente opuestas en la capital de la República Mexicana. El texto brinda un acercamiento sucinto a las variables que permiten explicar el voto a nivel individual en la Ciudad de México, en un contexto en el que se produjo por primera vez la alternancia a nivel nacional en el Poder Ejecutivo, pero que también significó, en el caso particular de la capital, la continuidad en la Jefatura de Gobierno del Partido de la Revolución Democrática.
